100 Riffs (A brief history of Rock N’ Roll) - Chicago Music Exchange
Very impressive and a pretty sweet party trick… 100 riffs in 12 minutes.
MmHmm **Revisited**…. I could use more music like this.
Relient K’s MmmHmm still has and continues to impress on my heart, memories and emotions. Sure, a lot of music and albums do that but for me, in my life time this one album speaks to so many situations. 9 years later I still enjoy the ride it takes me on for those 50 minutes.
This album seamlessly deals with fun pop punk themes while sliding into more serious thought provoking situations that make you step back and think about your own flaws all while acknowledging God’s grace is bigger. Yes, there are a lot of talented people who have put great music to stirring images and ideas. For me, Relient K captured something brilliant and timeless. Few records make me go to dark and warm places. Appreciating the musical stylings, while checking my own personal standing, character and integrity.
MmHmm is the collision of musical talent, keen and challenging writing, all while having a great time, That cannot be said often about the music we so often ingest without a single thought of how it affects us. Sadly, most often we listen to mind numbing dribble that means nothing or even worse has garbage we would disagree with but will sing aloud as we drive without giving it a second thought.

“It don’t matter if you’re black or white”…. or if you were both throughout your lifetime.
Showbread has long been one of my favorite bands. They are the masters of musical evolution and I have come to respect that they will continue to create whatever music they want even if their fans don’t like it as much as the last thing they did. This is one of my favorite jams off of their album “Who can know it?”. It offers a Christian perspective on death and brings a cool perspective to losing someone dear to you. Showbreads newest album “Cancer” will be out 9/25/12
The Wedding signs to Tooth & Nail and plans to release their new album in september!
I’m pretty stoked on this news, they are one of my favorite bands. I’ve been wanting a new full length album from these dudes for awhile. It should be awesome.
